Irfanview can open JPG files without installing anything else.

JPG is a file type. I don't understand the statement "How do I locate jpg on Irfanview?" Irfanview is a program used to open various files, and it can open JPG files.

Maybe you should start with exactly what the problem or situation is that led you to wanting or needing to install Irfanview. Viewing JPG files and uploading them to a website or server are very different operations with different solutions.

Thank you for the explanation about Irfanview. I am such a beginner it is hard to explain. My job(work from home) requires me to upload receipts and send to company. The company says they must be in jpg file. I use PrestoPageManager to scan. Until 2 weeks ago I could "save as" scroll down and choose jpg. The next day I repeated for a new receipt; when I scrolled down jpg was no longer a choice. From your statement it seems what I want to do is upload jpg to a website or server. I am so confused. Maybe I will spend $100 and have a computer geek come to my home and give me the help I need.

The best solution would be to figure out what happened to Presto PageManager that made it stop allowing you to save files in the JPG format. Baring that, you have to save them in whatever format it allows and hope that you can open that in Irfanview and then re-save them in JPG format. Depending on how often you do this, that could add up to a lot of work and wasted time.

My guess is that the easy way out is to remove Presto PageManager, download and install it again.

You are right I did save to tif and then irfanview to put in jpg. I did it once and now can't figure what I did. It was time consuming. I think that TerryNet has a good idea about restalling Presto PageManager.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
