Can I use IE and also have another browser like Firefox or Opera to use when IE doesn't work on some sites? I can't log in to AlertPay and I'm thinking since others can maybe they are using a different browser. Does anyone know if AlertPay works OK using IE? If I have to use another one, how can I use both without screwing up my computer settings?

Definitely!

I have Firefox installed. If Internet Explorer starts dragging on me, I switch over to Firefox.
...and you can run them at the same time.

You can try out other browsers as well.

I hope so. I have Internet Explorer, Firefox (my favorite) SeaMonkey (like Netscape) Opera, Amaya, and Safari (looks good, but doesn't work that great) installed on a Vista Ultimate desktop and a Vista Home Premium laptop. All work fine. (Betcha can't tell what I spend my time doing.)

By the way, you can install the IE Tab add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419) in Firefox. It can be set to automatically run IE inside of Firefox when needed.

I prefer to keep IE as the default browser. Just want to make sure that if I download Firefox I can run it without it changing my default browser or messing up any settings. My husband gets on here alot now and is only computer basic literate. If anything looks funny to him or acts strange, he thinks I do things to mess with his head.

Firefox will ask you if you want it to be the default browser, just tell it No.
