Bogus Helo Name
Please someone help!

On many e-mails, particularly when I reply to an e-mail, I get the following error from System Administrator:

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

'[Person to whom I'm sending]' on 9/27/2008 10:45 AM
550 5.7.1 <[email address]>... bogus HELO name used: [Name of my computer]

Often if I retype their address myself, I can get it to go through. That's a real time sink though.

Its nothing at the client level its a problem at the server level. If you have dedicated IT support or a contractor talk to them first.

HELO/EHLO is a command used by email servers to identify themselves. I'm guessing you're running your own email server.

If you're not running your own server contact your ISP.

If you need more specific instructions could you reply with your domain name, and ipconfig /all from the server.
