Yes, I understand you are just trying to help. That's good.

The two programs however, have different file formats. Outlook Express uses .dbx files and Outlook 2003 uses .pst files.
The fix for Outlook Express, unfortunately, does not apply to Outlook 2003.

In Outlook 2003:
File > Open > Outlook Data File
Browse to the location of the .pst file and select it.

The Personal Folders should then reappear in Outlook 2003.
Attempt to delete the message in the Outbox.

You are referring to the File > New > Outlook Data File option?
That is the type of .pst file you want to create.
The first type is not compatible with earlier versions of Outlook.

You need to use:
File > Open > Outlook Data File
as you are opening not creating a new .pst file.

Did you select the correct .pst file?

What "things" are you referring?

It might be easier if you post a screen shot of what you are seeing in Outlook 2003.

Press the prt scr (print screen) button.

Open MSPaint:
Edit > Paste

Save the file as a .jpg file.
File > Save As

Scroll down this page below the Reply window and click the Go Advanced button.
On the next window scroll down and click the Manage Attachments button.

A window will open where you can browse to the file on your computer and upload it to your reply.
Click the Submit Reply button and you should see the attachment in your reply.
