Solved: Help I am sick of Microsoft Outlook
I run outlook 2003. I tried to send too large of a file and it is stuck keeps saying trying to send then comes up as can't send as too big. I have tried all the different things to get rid of it setting it to offline, trying to delete, trying to move the file to drafts and all to no avail. It will not budge. Can anyone help me I do not have outlook express I have outlook. Thanks

See if this helps.

I'm not really an Outlook user.

Peace...

Hi mopeede

Did you try placing Outlook 2003 Offline this way?

Place Outlook 2003 in Work Offline mode:
File > Work Offline

Close Outlook 2003, wait a minute and restart Outlook 2003.

Access the Outbox and attempt to delete the message.

If you are successful in deleting the message from the Outbox, you can take Outlook 2003 out of Work Offline mode:
File > Work Offline

Let us know if that works for you or not.

Have you tried creating a new data file as shown here?

After placing Outlook in Work Offline mode, you closed and reopened Outlook still in Work Offline mode?

Another way is to create a new Personal Folders (.pst file) in Outlook 2003, set the new Personal Folders as the new Default Delivery Location.
Close and Restart Outlook 2003.

You should then be able to access the Outbox of the original Personal Folders and delete the message.
After that, return the original Personal Folders to be the Default Delivery Location.

In Outlook 2003:
File > New > Outlook Data File > OK
Name the .pst file.
In the next window you can change the name "Personal Folders" to the actual name of the .pst file.
For example "Practice", the name field is already selected for you.
Click: OK

The new Personal Folders "Practice" should open in Outlook 2003.
Set the new Personal Folders "Practice" as the new Default Delivery Location.
Tools > E-Mail Accounts > View or change existing e-mail accounts > Next

At the bottom of that window click the drop down arrow for: Deliver new e-mail to the following location
Select the "Practice" Personal Folders.

Click: Finish
Close and restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.

Access the Outbox of the original Personal Folders and attempt to delete the message.

After successfully deleting the message from the Outbox, use the steps above to return the original Personal Folders to be the Default Delivery Location.

No worries, you can still change the name of the Personal Folders.
It definitely helps to have two different names to select from.

Right click on the root or top folder of the new Personal Folders:
Select: Properties for "Personal Folders"

General tab > Advanced button

You should be able to rename the Personal Folders in that window.
OK, OK to save and close.
After renaming, the Personal Folders name should change immediately.

Now change the Default Delivery Location.

Let us know what happens.

The message completed sending?
Check the Sent Items folder to see if there is a copy of the message.

What do you mean by: the only one that works? E-mail accounts? The Personal Folders will not open?
You didn't name both of the Personal Folders "Practice", did you?

Where it says Deliver new e mail to new location in the drop down is Outlook and the other one is Practice. Now how did I get that to say outlook instead of personal folders?

Were there more Personal Folders listed in the drop down list than you remember?
Did you rename one of the Personal Folders "Outlook"?

Which Personal Folder contained the message in the Outbox?
