Is that ALL of the output from the ipconfig /all command? I need to see ALL of the output. Try running this command instead:

cd \ (press enter)
ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt

Then attach the ipconfig.txt file to this thread. If you type the commands above, the ipconfig.txt file should be in C:\.

Peace...

Thanks for that info. With your system booted in safe mode with networking, what is the output from this command:

ping www.yahoo.com

  1. Download Malwarebytes
  2. Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  3. Place check marks next to Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware.
  4. Click Finish
  5. If an update was found, it will download and install it.
  6. Select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  7. When the scan is complete, click OK and Show Results to view.
  8. Be sure that eveything is checked and click Remove Selected.
  9. The log will open in notepad.
  10. Done
  11. Reboot
Have you tried with a different web browser such as Firefox (www.firefox.com) or Google Chrome (www.google.com/chrome). This might allow you to browser the internet right away.

Ok, you state Malwarebytes didn't find anything. What other security software do you have installed on your system and when was the last time you scanned for malware?

Peace...

Anti-spyware and anti-virus apps aren't bulletproof so it's good that you now have some redundancy. As long as Avast!, Spybot, and MalwareBytes aren't ever finding anything, I think it's safe to assume malware isn't interfering but without having someone take a closer look, it's hard to know for sure.

Well, that's what we're working through. Things would be different it I had the machine in front of me since I would be able to do the things I'm asking you to do more quickly.

So, you say you can ping www.yahoo.com in safe mode with networking yet your browsers can't access any sites. This means your DNS is working but something is still interfering with your browser. Do you have any IE add-ons installed? If so, can you disable them and see how IE behaves for you?

Peace...
