Solved: Outlook account jammed-- can't send
This was previously posted : Outlook has started sending e-mail with attached file that is too large to send. When I right click on the e-mail and click on Delete, nothing happens.

This was the solution response: Likely it is because Outlook is already trying to send the attachment.

One possible way to solve this is to disconnect from the Internet. Then Outlook can't send the e-mail. Highlight it and press shift-delete (so it won't even go to the deleted items folder).

This worked for the person asking for help....see below:

Disconnecting from the Internet and then deleting the e-mail with the excessively large attachment worked. Thank you!

I have same problem, but this solution does not work. Please advise.

I disconnected from internet by unplugging my modem. Is this the correct way to disconnect?

Hi pete2000

Place Outlook in Work Offline mode:
File > Work Offline
Close Outlook, give Outlook a minute to close.
Start Outlook, access the Outbox and attempt to delete the message.
If you are successful in deleting the outgoing message, place Outlook back online:
File > Work Offline

If the message refuses to delete, leave Outlook in Work Offline mode, close Outlook and restart the computer. Start Outlook and attempt to delete the message again.


Let us know if that works for you or not.
