not receiving packets, connections problems, please help!
heres my problem, when i sign in to my wireless, it says im connected but i receive very few packets. whenever i try to use a browser, no pages will load. but when i use my neighbors unsecured wireless i can access the internet and receive packets. im no techie but the only difference i could tell between the two, was that under properties, the working wireless was listed as open and disabled under network authentication and data encryption respectively. my wireless is listed as wpa-psk, and tkp respectively. ive changed my firewall settings in norton and windows to allow my different browsers already and it seems like that cant be the problem if one wireless source works and another doesnt. Help! no packets, connection problems, plz help!

Were you ever able to successfully connect to your wireless network?

Disable encryption on the router and try to connect that way. Assuming success you can probably re-enable encryption and reconnect.
