I am able to access them easily with other machines on my network, and my friends tell me they can also use them, so I know for certain that the problem isn't my network and said websites are not just having downtime. When I try to access the aformentioned sites in Firefox 3, I get the "Page Load Error" message: Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.
I'm running Windows XP. | | Senior Member with 182 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2007 Experience: Intermediate | | Hey try this:
In firefox, type: "about:config" in the address bar
then, type in "ipv6" in the top filter bar
if the value = "false", right click and select "toggle".
If this does not work reset the value to false.
P.S. I am not responsible for any damage caused by this fix
Hope this helps

Furthermore, the problem is certainly not my browser, I have tried to access the websites I mentioned in 5 different browsers, each yielding the same (or similar) results. | | Senior Member with 182 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2007 Experience: Intermediate | | Could it be a problem with any firewall installed which is blocking access to these websites? | | Junior Member with 9 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2009 Experience: Intermediate | | Well of course that was the first thing I checked out when I realized I had this problem. To my knowledge, there appears to be no problems with it. | | Senior Member with 182 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2007 Experience: Intermediate | | By any chancw do you have Avast web shield or Kaspersky "Web Anti-Virus" installed? | | Junior Member with 9 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2009 Experience: Intermediate | | | | | Junior Member with 9 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2009 Experience: Intermediate | | Bumping because I really need this problem fixed. | | Junior Member with 9 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2009 Experience: Intermediate | | | | | Junior Member with 9 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2009 Experience: Intermediate |
