Cannot access certain websites
I seem to be unable to access certain websites (such as quakelive.com, adobe.com, and tvtropes.org). I am able to access them easily with other machines on my network, and my friends tell me they can also use them, so I know for certain that the problem isn't my network and said websites are not just having downtime. When I try to access the aformentioned sites in Firefox 3, I get the "Page Load Error" message:

Connection Interrupted

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

I'm running Windows XP.

Hey try this:

In firefox, type: "about:config" in the address bar
then, type in "ipv6" in the top filter bar
if the value = "false", right click and select "toggle".

If this does not work reset the value to false.

P.S. I am not responsible for any damage caused by this fix

Hope this helps

Thanks for your input, but sadly it did not help. Furthermore, the problem is certainly not my browser, I have tried to access the websites I mentioned in 5 different browsers, each yielding the same (or similar) results.

Could it be a problem with any firewall installed which is blocking access to these websites?

Well of course that was the first thing I checked out when I realized I had this problem. To my knowledge, there appears to be no problems with it.

Okay, I really need this problem fixed. I come to a tech support forum expecting there to be people who can help me with my technical problems, but I now see that this is not the case.
