Lightbulb Solved: Mail error
Hi, I'm using Outlook 2003 for my mail account and i experienced the following problem. first i get this error : "-ERR message number 1283 is too large". I was able to delete that message from the server, but i still can't send and receive mail and i still get that error message but with another number. Please help me, i really need that mail account.

Ususaly you can look up error message numbers by doing a search on the net and Microsoft would prob have on their site error numbers for their products, , if your computer is linked to the server i suggest you contact your IT person.

Sometimes profiles get corrupted. You could try to delete the account and recreate it inside of outlook. That clears up a lot of things. Also restart your email client afterward.

Mail error
Thank you for your answer. I made a search about the error number, but i didn't find anything about my situation, the error code is linked with another type of error. I already try creating a new identity, a new data outlook file and i start receiving mails from 2 month ago, but it stops at 274 from 510 and i get the same error.

There is not really an error number in that message. Is it possible to login to a web page for your email account? If so try that and deleting the messages that are causing you a problem.

Have you tried to apply the updates to Outlook 2003. It's up to SP3.
Try this link.

Also Outlook stores some temp files in your user folder. You might try to delete those temp files and try again.
