Windows Live Mail does not close on Exit

When I close Windows Live Mail, a lot of the time before I can reopen it, I have to go into Task Manager under the processes tab and End Process for Windows Live Mail. This does not happen all the time, but the majority of the time. I have checked the Microsoft Knowledge Base, but have been unable to find an answer. My Operating System is Windows Vista Home Premium. Thanks for any help.
