Solved: Internet Explorer Closes
On my computer (running Microsoft XP) there are four users. My user is the only account that this does not occur on. In the other three cases when Internet explorer is launched and before it can even open the home page a pop up appears saying that Internet Explorer has experienced a problem and has to close. This happens on all three users but mine is fine. There is no chance to do anything because it immediatly follows the launch. In one case for one of my users the Explorer freezes after I select to send or not to send an error report. I don't have any explaination as to what is causing this and don't understand what has changed because earlier in the day everyone was able to access the internet. Also, it isn't a problem of user privaleges because all except one of the four accounts on the computer are Administrators.

Help is greatly appreciated ASAP on this issue.

P.S. I did just realize that this has occured after updating to the new IE8. Not sure if this is the problem or not.

Possibly.

You may want to try reverting to IE7...

I reverted to IE7 and everything is working fine. I just don't understand why it malfunctioned on three of four users and not system wide. I also am curious as to what the actual conflict was and if the next IE will fix this error.

I would wait a few more months before going back to IE8 if I were you. Let Microsoft sort out all the bugs first...
