You can delete what MBAM found in the registry key.

Any improvement so far with your connection issues?

One other possible culprit would be your Node Type as shown in your ipconfig /all report: Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid

You have it set to Hybrid. It will work on a small LAN, but it may cause response issues.

For a small LAN with no name server, Broadcast, or B-node, makes the most sense.

Changing The Node Type

There's no GUI applet to change Node Type. You'll have to use the Registry Editor.

Click on Start > Run > type regedit

Change value:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet \Services \NetBT \Parameters \DHCPNodeType]

or,

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet \Services \NetBT \Parameters \NodeType]

(which ever is there)

or add,

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet \Services \NetBT \Parameters \NodeType]. -> In this case, the NodeType value would be set to Broadcast

OK well I have a huge problem now. My dad's friend came over and told me to install all the updates that were waiting even if they messed up the internet connection. So I started installing them one by one, because they were old. I did Vista Service Pack 1 and it froze for 2 hours stuck on 1 file. I shut down the computer and now all I have is a black screen!!
I posted this issue HERE

I will try that newest method as soon as I can get back onto my computer! :/

The registry key often has to be added as it doesn't often show.

Also, have you tried updating your wireless network card's driver?

Please read post #16 from this thread.

What about:
Quote:
If WEP encryption is being used try unencryted. If that works better use WPA(2)-PSK if possible. (Vista sometimes struggles with WEP).
