Wireless Connection Disappaeared from "View Network Connections"
Running Windows Vista, and a Netgear WG311V3 wireless card.

I head that if you untick QoS in Properties (next to Internet Protocol etc) then your connection would be faster; I've been having problems so I tried it.

All it did was remove "Wireless Network Connection" from my Network Connections - there are now only 2 icons there - 1 for the wired connection (plugged in my ethernet cable to write this) and "Internet Conection".

I have no idea how to get it back, if anyone knows how that'd be great. I've since tried reinstalling my wireless card, didn't help. I can't even configure my wireless card now for some reason.

But that's off-topic - how do I get "Wireless Connection" back into my Network Connections?

Regards in advance,

Chris

Try a System Restore.

I was hoping that'd be a last resort.

Nevertheless, it's the easiest way to solve a lot of issues...

What's your issue with System Restore? You can undo it if it does no good.

Does the wireless card show as OK in Device Manager?
