adding new email account in outlook- HELP!!!
I have added a number of new accounts to my outlook account before with no problem. However I am unable to set the latest one up - I have no proplem with the incoming server set to pop.xxxx.com but the outgoing I have tried using mail.xxxx.com as with the others but it does not work - I am told it is to do with my internet provider aol - but it worked for the others and I have rang them but unfortunately got nowhere - any help would be gratefully appreciated

Try replacing "mail" with "smtp".

Who is the e-mail provider? Who's server are you using for outgoing mail? If the two are different, the outgoing mail provider would have to allow such access. Not all do.

Firstly thanks for replying - the info I was given to set it up is pop3.server pop.xxxxx.com
SMTP server https://www.b-one.net/static/support-faq.jsp
in all my other accounts i just entered pop.xxxx.com in both incoming and outgoing - so soulds like having different may be the problem - gow can i resolve it? the company who sent me details say that they have no problems with other people - I spoke to one his reads pop.xxxx.com and then send.one.com and another has pop.xxxx.com and then send.one.com in the other (mac user?) and the other guy said I should use was pop.xxxx.com and whatever my internet provider was eg smtp.aol.com - that didnt work either - if you can help I would be grateful

The instructions say to enter "send.one.com" for an outgoing mail server. They provide complete step by step instructions. Everything is for IMAP access, not POP, and they list the exact servers to use.
