Well, yes...the problem is that the emails in OE do not exist, per se.
OE is a database program. The emails are visible in OE only through
the dedicated database.
The emails are stored as data in .dbx files on your hard drive, which is
where OE gets the information and assembles them to make them
appear as emails.
(Don't attempt to open a .dbx file - they corrupt easily. It would be
meaningless anyway, it is all compiled non-readable code).
You can extract the emails both from OE or from the .dbx files as .eml
files. To the best of my knowledge, Gmail can't read an .eml file. It has
to be sent from OE. You would not be able to just grab an .eml file and
place it on the gmail inbox. That would be easy, just create a folder full
of .emls on your desktop and drag it over to gmail. But it won't work.
You could create a new email and attach 20 old emails to it and send it
to gmail - but at gmail there is no way to split the attachments apart. You
would have an email with 20 attachments sitting in the gmail inbox.
That only leaves you with the ability to send them one at a time to gmail.
You can import emails from some providers, see this article/list:

So, if by chance all your emails are still sitting on a server, in addition to
sitting in OE, that might work for you.
Don't post your email address here, it would leave you open to spam robots.
But what is the email provider? The part after the @ symbol? Is it a gmail
address? If not are you going to switch to a gmail address for all future
emails?
If all your emails, in the future, were from a gmail address, then you could
tell OE to leave copies on the gmail server - so you wouldn't have to upload
any in the future. And then still be able to have them in OE as well.
When you travel, does that computer have OE too? If so, you can synch
them. This link is for a program you have to purchase - but you might be
able to find freeware.
