Suddenly can't connect to network/internet.
Dell Vostro Laptop, XP Home, SP3.

It worked before. Wireless router works with two other laptops and is wired to a desktop. This laptop suddenly can't connect to the network. Icon in the tray states excellent wireless signal but when I launch IE7 the window states that no internet connection is available, clicking "Try Again" gets me "IE cannot open...". In Control Panel/Network Connections nothing appears. I have run all the wizards. Same issues when I try to connect with ethernet cable.

Thanks in advance for any help.

(From a JohnWill post)

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2 or SP3.

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt.

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults: netsh int ip reset reset.log

Reboot the machine.
