Question MSN Hotmail Skipping Characters
I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop running on Vista and I'm currently on service pack 2 and want to upgrade to Windows 7. Today is 10/28/2009. For the last few weeks, I noticed that when I finished typing in msn email, I would look up and see that I had skipped characters and space bars. When I went to correct the text, I sometimes had trouble repositioning the cursor or use the end key to move to the end of the line. When I get to where I want to insert a character, I often have to hit the letter key more han once to make the correction.

As I write ths question, I am noticing that I am having the same problem here.

At this time, I plugged in an external keyboard throuh a USB port and I am having the same problem.

I do not seem to have the problem when I type into WORD or EXCEL. Comcast is my ISP. I have done some random typing into my Comcast email and did not notice the problem.

To sum up: I have a laptop, use two different keyboards, and have the same porblem on different email applications.

Dell has been no help and have tried to sell me two different software programs to clean up my computer like new.

Before I restore the computer to factory settings, I would like to know if there is a timeing problem that can be fixed. I have never changed timing since I've had the computer. Could there be a hardware problem that would be common to both the pc keyboard and the external keyboard.

Thank you,

RayMul
