Click on the Settings icon, under the Search section, select your country of choice in the "Use Google site:" dropdown box.

At the end of the search bar, click on Language Tools.

Under Use the Google Interface in Your Language, click on Preferences.

Under Visit Google's Site in Your Local Domain, select your country.

newspaper56,

You can also get the Add to Search Bar add-on for Firefox.

Install add-on and then go to www.google.com.au
Right-click in the search field and select Add to Search Bar
You'll get a small window that comes up asking for a display name (ex. Google AU). Enter a name and click OK.
Now you can go to Search Bar and select Google AU (or what ever you called it).

My apologies, I was referring to the Google Toolbar. Phantom's and/or Ratboy's instructions should work for you.
