Solved: Email??
My daughter has moved to an apartment and has bought a laptop. Whilst at home she used one of my email addresses via my ISP, talktalk. She has had some difficulty setting up her new email with her ISP, O2. This is being addressed with O2.

I tried to set up the talktalk address she had at my home on my machine, I have entered all the same setting as at my machine, a desktop, however it will receive hotmail via Windows Live Mail but it refuses to receive the talktalk messages. It asks for the password and it is duly entered correctly but 'refuses' to see the talktalk server.

The error codes are 0x800CCC90 & 0x800CCC92.

There is a lot of returns when I google these codes, however I have not yet found an answer in these returns. Several have quoted the talktalk settings that are required however they do not seem to solve this situation. I have also suffered this situation myself, however on that occasion it was a problem at talktalk and was very quickly resolved, and my machine is working perfectly for once.

Could it be that I am setting up a second account and this is the problem? I am not happy with this answer!

Can anyone cut through all these answers and help me? I am sure that there is a simple solution but I cannot see it yet.

You can't send or receive talktalk email unless you are using them as the ISP for the PC that you are using. If you want to keep using the talktalk account use their webmail interface (through your web browser) otherwise I'd suggest getting a googlemail or other free email account.
