FF 1.2 didn't do this, so I have to believe I am just missing an option. I have gone to tools, options, unchecked the remember what i typed and keep history for X number of days, but that isnt doing it.

Scroll down to Query Suggestions and put a tick on Do not provide query suggestions in the search box.

I am looking to not have the popups when i go to the address bar. Like where I would type www.google.com. | | Distinguished Member with 2,073 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2007 Experience: Intermediate | | Annoying isn't it?
If you upgrade to 3.5, you can select what gets displayed on the Options>Privacy tab.
For FF 3.0, The best way is to just disable it.
Quoted from google groups:
"Completely disable the autocomplete list (Windows and Linux)
If you would rather not have Firefox display autocomplete results at all. This method does not work on Mac.
1. In the Location bar, enter about:config
2. Search for the preference browser.urlbar.maxRichResults.
3. Double-click the browser.urlbar.maxRichResults preference and enter a value of -1.
4. Close Firefox.
5. Start Firefox again.
Now when you type in the Location bar, no list of results will be shown." | | Senior Member with 311 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Huntington Beach, CA USA Experience: Advanced | | Ya, I upgraded to FF 3.5 and your sugestions worked.
