I am staying at my daughters who has wireless internet by 'dlink', my laptop will not recognise the site when showing me available connections, any ideas of what to do?
Have not had this problem before always been able to connect.

Does that mean she has broadband internet access and is using a D-Link wireless router?

Do you mean that you detect other wireless networks, but not your daughter's? If so, maybe she has the SSID broadcast disabled.

Things to check;
Make sure the wireless button or switch on the laptop is enabled.
Make sure the wireless network connection is enabled.
What operating system are you using. [windows XP, windows Vista, Mac 10.x] When you boot your computer the splash screen will normally show you what OS(operating system) you would use.
Do you use a third party connection utility (example; Dell Wireless card utility) or does windows manage your wireless network connections.
