Arrow Browser Crashes - Please Help
This is my 4th posting for this problem, with no response from anyone. Am I posting this on the wrong forum? I really need some help. When I use a search engine to conduct a web search, when the results are presented the web browser freezes. I am able to move the cursor around the page, but with no functionality. Then I have to use the Task Manager to close the browser. It doesn't matter what search engine I use, or whether I use Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Is this a computer virus, or is some other program interfering? Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not post duplicates of the same issue, you won't get more help that way and it's against TSG's rules:

Didn't mean to violate
Sorry, I didn't intentionally violate the rules. After leaving a post up for a couple weeks, I was really no longer expecting help on previous requests for assistance.. For what it's worth, I closed the previous threads before posting a new one.

Any suggestions on how to resolve my problem?

I've reinstalled Firefox.
I've run virus scan with McAfee.
I've run Hot Bot Search and Destroy.

Have you tried reseting IE from the internet options.

start/control panel/network and internet/internet options/advance/reset

What if you type the URL into the address bar. Could you browse to the site without using the search engine.

Zurh,
Resetting IE from the control panel worked for IE. Thanks!! I can now do searches. It didn't, however, do anything for Firefox, which has been my browser of choice. I did completely uninstall then reinstall Firefox to no avail. I can reach various websites by typing the URL into the address bar, but not immediately after conducting a search in Firefox. I must first end task and restart the browser.

If nothing else, I'll go back to using IE. If we don't get Firefox fixed, you've already been a tremendous help.

Any chance you use AVG.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_...dd_new_engines
AVG Safe Search: The "AVG Safe Search" Firefox extension is included with AVG 8 Free Antivirus as part of the LinkScanner component. Among other issues, this extension is reported (in Firefox 3) to cause problems with Google search results Disable this extension in Firefox via "Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions".
