filezilla?
ok, i have my own site with "filezilla" as my FTP program...i have a "index.php" that pops up as my homepage (first page on my site) and thats exactly what i want...but than i want to put a link there to a file i also have on filezilla. i have a folder called "vww" i think its saposed to be "www" but i didnt make it, my friend did lol. now i have both my "Downloads" folder and my "index.php" in the "vww" folder...but i need to make a link for the "Downloads" folder to put on my "index.php"....can someone please help me? and also, how do i link another page? like a ".txt" file to my "index.php"file? im pretty confused and my friend is helping his wife she fell down steps and is hurt =( ) he would help me but he has bigger things to do.

please help me, and if anyone knows a site to show me how to use filezilla, BESIDES the filezilla homepage, i think one for "dummies" would be better to start off with, even though i dont consider my self a "dummie" lol

my site is "kitkin15.tk" if anyone wants to know that, i am running it off my friends site, "pehden.tk" my site has the first page and thats it, but it will become better lol

Click "Report" in the lower right and then ask that your thread be transfered to the "Web Design and Development" Forum, if help doesn't show up here.

I am using FileZilla to move new/revised pages from my local file to the website host. I use "KompoZer" to create/edit my pages. I don't follow what you are trying to do with the aid of FileZilla, but that is no doubt simply ignorance.

Here is a Google page of tutorial references:

What "composer" are you using?

With mine "KompoZer," I would use the link function while working on my home page (Index). Quite easy to do for me.

My home page has a number of internal links as well as some external.

"p- - ": I do not know. I have no experience with the two you reference. Why not just download "KompoZer" and take a look.

I use filezilla.. just simply link in the file you want to download to link tages in the .html file... ie..

<a href="/downloads/dwnload1.zip">download1</a>

then upload the file to the folder "downloads" and name the .zip folder "download1.zip"

Upload the folder to the server using filezilla as well as your new .html file.

make sure you do not add capitals to the file path and that the path is correct and you will have no problems. good luck
