Problem
Came home from work today and having a problem with the computer. The OS is Windows XP.

The problem is this. Mozilla Firefox would not open. I had to reinstall a previous version and it is not the up to date version. Furthermore the search system via xp won't open and neither will outlook express.

I have tried a system restore but no luck. Any ideas?

when you tell these programs to open do the processes start? to find out simple attempt to open firefox like you normally would then start task manager go to the processes tab and look for firefox.exe should be one of the ones eating up more of the memory this will allow us to know if the process is at least starting when you are attempting to call upon the application
