email notification on PC
I am looking for a program that will notify me that I have an email(s) by a flashing icon. I have Outlook Express and have not been able to find anything that is simple ( I am not a wizard with a computer) and something that doesn't cost a ton of money. Any ideas? Thanks John <Edit by Moderator - Removed Email from post, Putting email in your post is likely to result in lots of SPAM>

It is not wise to post your email addy in a public forum, unless you want heaps of spam in the future, use the edit icon to remove it.

I use mailwasher, it works great, and flashes in the system tray when new mail arrives, but it does not flash when blacklisted spam arrives, nice feature.

Best program for email control I have ever used.

It is much more than a spam blocker as they advertise, I use it to read most of my emails without opening my mail client, light weight and efficient.

Pro version allows more than one email address to be monitored

Free version is fully functional, but you can only configure one email account.

I also use poppeeper AND poptray
http://www.poptray.org/screenshots.php

both are free. I used them for at least one year, was worried about spyware first, but both seem to leave my computer alone and do notify me nicely from the taskbar, when mail arrives.
