ie & firefox stop working
i have win xp pro sp3...IE 8 and firefox 3.5

after no set period of time they'll go blank page and say done. after working fine for 5 hours today, but yesterday it was only 45 minutes before it happened. this has been happening for the last few weeks...as soon as i reboot everything is ok again.

oh yeah not a connection problem as i'm still connected to yahoo im and my remote desktop through citrix.

Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

You should get rid of Windows Search 4.0 by uninstalling it from your Add or Remove programs. It's responsible for the SearchIndexer.exe process. It's known to slow down computers significantly.

If no luck, try disabling BitDefender.

If still no luck, try browsing in Safe Mode with Networking and see if you are still experiencing the issue.

If all is well in Safe Mode with Networking, you most likely have a non-Windows application conflicting with your browsing. To isolate the culprit, try a Clean Boot.
