Solved: Outlook Express 6.0 Problem!
When I turned on my computer today I went to my email. When O.E. opened there were 3 messages in my Inbox and then a message O.E. didn't shut down correctly and O.E. closed. When I reopened O.E. the 3 messages in my Inbox were gone. How can I retrieve them? I went to other info on O.E. and the info there was very hard for me to understand and that is why I started this thread. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Try Recuva. There's an option to retrieve e-mails.

When clicking on Analyse, does Recuva find anything?

When I try to open Outlook Express emails.zip I get this: C:\Documents and Settings\Ronald B. Myron\Desktop\Outlook Express emails.zip The archive is either in unknown format or damaged.

The e-mail messages might be unrecoverable. If the files have been overwritten completely or partially, it might explain why you are getting a damaged archive.
