Hi... I touched an e-mail FW and it didn't open but did lock me out of my hotmail. Can you help

I started your own thread for you here, as you would probably be overlooked tagging on to the end of a Solved thread.

Do you mean that you clicked on a message that was forwarded to you, or that you clicked on the "Forward" button to begin sending the message to somebody else?

Please be as specific as possible about exactly what you did, the email message involved, and what happened then.

Good Morning TerryNet....The problem solved itself in about 2 hours! Here's what happened and my conclusion. When my e-mail came up there were 4 messages in my "inbox". They were from a friend that sends me lots of "FW's"! 3 were FW's and 1 not. When I tried to open the first one of the "FW's", everything went astray! The e-mail did not open and instead it locked up my e-mail! Of course I thought of a virus.

I tried for 2 hours to clear it but to no avail. Then when it was clear, I sent an e-mail to my friend and noticed that the "send/receive" window of hotmail had drasticly changed! Now I think that it was hotmail's fault for not giving notice of a possible disruption. I really don't know but all is well now! Thank you for your time and concern....richt
