Question Solved: 550 Relay not permitted?
I am running Windows Vista home premium with Microsoft Outlook. We are currently on holidays cruising the Murray River in a Houseboat and consequently using a Telstra NextG satellite internet connection instead of my normal home/router wireless connection.

I am able to recieve emails on Outlook & am able to surf the web (Internet Explorer), but when I try to reply to & send emails I get an instantanious message back "550 relay not permitted"?

I am computer illiterate so went into a Telstra Shop in Berri (another major town along the Murray River in South Australia) to try & get some assistance where the staff member suggested I try Googling my problem which finally led me to this site.

Can anyone helpe please?

Thanks,
Ian.

This usually happens if you have Outlook configured to send mail using a mail server that is not your ISP's mail server (e.g. trying to send email using a yahoo.com email address). See if this helps if Telstra didn't already provide this information: http://bigpond.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/...?p_faqid=15037
