IE8 Open or Save Security Prompt
I've dragged and dropped a few favorites to the IE8 favorites bar. When clicking on those links, after opening a new tab, I regularly get an Open or Save security prompt. It's getting really annoying. I have searched Google for ages and I've tried so many suggestions but I just can't get rid of those prompts. Is there a way to disable them? This never happened to me with IE7.

hi, i just had a look. never use it myself..but.

go to tools, internet options, security, you will see a box to tick ( or not ) enable protected mode.

or go advanced and there you will see the old settings.

or go through control panel internet options. i hope i'm right. ( as i said, see above )

cheers.?

I've noticed new tabs in IE8 take longer to fully open than with IE7. Unlike IE7, a new iexplore.exe process is generated when opening a new tab, slowing down tab browsing at the same time.

The faster I open up new tabs and click on my favorites, the more I get those annoying Open or Save security prompts. If I go slowly, it NEVER happens!?!

I've found quite a few people with this problem but nothing has worked for me so far.
