Internet Problem
I Work in a company and i get on the internet through a proxy server
My pc is on static ip with DNS ip and gateway ip

so when i try to connect to the specific website it's says to me that servers not found

to mention that i think is problem of the router cause when i connect to internet with automatically setting (takes IP automatically) it connects me without a problem but if i am on a static IP it shows me that server not found

pls help...

Hi,

Firstly, check what IP range, Mask, DNS and gateway settings the DHCP settings give you and confirm they are the ones you use with a fixed IP.

Once set, run 'nslookup www.google.com' and the cmd prompt and see if it resolves.

If not, then your proxy server is most likely using different DNS, and/or the router/firewall may be set to only allow the proxy server to resolve DNS/access the Internet.

I Forgot to say that i connect to all the websites except the specific i try to get..

FINALLY i come to conclusion that my DNS has the problem

when i put the name of the website says that server not found
but when i ping it with its ip and put it on the browser (with ip) the DNS retrieve the info

so i think the DNS cant find this specific address..


what should i do for this ??

Try refreshing your DNS resolver cache by following these steps:

Click on Start > Run > type CMD

In the Command Prompt, type: ipconfig /flushdns

Reboot.
