Solved: Sending mail to multiple contacts where each one sees only his name in the TO
Hi,
I know this is possible when using outlook (by mail merging in word) but I would like to know if possible in gmail as well? if not, is there a software I can download that does it?
Thanks

Just use bcc: for sending the email.

Thanks - but this was not the question
My question was - how can I send to multiple people but where each one that receives the mail sees only his name in the TO box? if I send all by BCC than the TO box will be empty or only my name, etc.
I would like to send by BCC but when John (for example) gets the mail he will see his name or E-mail address only in the TO box. This way it is more personal and no one knows it was sent by BCC.
I know (and have done it) in office using outlook and word mail merging but would like to know if possible in Gmail as well.
If not, is there any software I can download that does it?
Hope now it is clear.
Thanks

I don't think you can do what you want to do within GMAIL's web interface. But you can use any mail client to send and receive email with GMAIL. So just setup Outlook and do your mail merge in Word.

I guess I should have Google Searched first. Apparently you can do this with Google Docs and Gmail.
