Outlook keeps indexing
4 days ago, outlook started crashing on startup. I had to uninstall/reinstall office, which solved the problem. PST file seemed to be undamaged, I can see all the data from before the crash.

Since then, outlook seems to be "stuck" in the indexing phase.
For instance, when I want to look up a telephone number for a contact, I get a message saying that the search results are incomplete because there are still items that are being indexed (I use the dutch version of outlook, so I can't give the exact text in english)

When I click on details, I get a popup window saying
Your items are being indexed by outlook at this moment
13172 items remaining in Personal Folders
13622 items remaining in all open post boxes.

The strange thing is that the number of items remaining to be indexed is not decreasing. I have left my PC on for 3 night in a row so the indexing could finish. When I first looked at the screen, it said 7.000 items remaining. Now, I am at 13.000 item remaining. And I find it amazing that 3 nights of indexing is not enough to finish the process.

Outlook has been indexing for over a week now, leaving the PC on at night and over the weekend.

I have reset the index with following steps, and I'm curious to see if this will resolve the issue.

In Microsoft Windows, click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
Click Indexing Options.
Click Advanced.
Click Rebuild.

After one night, "Indexing options" said "120.000 items. Indexing Complete"

However, when I go to outlook, I still can't search.

Still the same message:
"the search results are incomplete because there are still items that are being indexed"
Your items are being indexed by outlook at this moment
5825 items remaining in Personal Folders
5826 items remaining in all open post boxes.

So I'm still at the same point as before. Is there any other way to rebuild the outlook index?
