Solved: 64 and 32 bit java problem what java to install?
i got a new computer with windows 7 and it has 64 bit and 32 bit on it when i got it it had no java or direct x or anything like that on it so i installed java and well the first time i got it through google chrome but when i went into command prompt and typed
"java -version" it came up with an error so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it through ie and the version comes up through command prompt now but my javaw.exe program won't open and certain programs from java don't work
i don't know what versions of java to install so that might be the problem?

You can take your bug report to java, I've never had any trouble with java myself.
Your bug report says go here. http://java.sun.com/webapps/bugreport/crash.jsp
You can go to the conrol panel - program and features - and remove java and
than reinstall. If your computer is at fault than I guess the Error will return.
I keep my computer clean in a different manner. I keep a clean backup on an exterior
hard drive and I also have an extra hard drive that can be used. (2 hard drives one computer)
I use Acronis True Image to make my backup.
