I have a Windows 7 Laptop, and thought I could reset it with CTRL + F11 because it is a dell, but I did not. I have only 1 account as the admin, and no password for it. No disc drive for password reset, and I have no USB Flash Drive available for a month nearby me. I have no-where to go either. I am using info from my friend's laptop to reset it, I held CTRL and pressed control, thenpressed them both at the same time and it beeped, now it says it has no operating system. You might want to remove your email address unless you want to get spam.As to the password problem we might not be able to help you with that as per the forum rules.If it says no operating system chances are the harddrive is failing or has failed.

How To Reset Password from Safe Mode
Use f8 at boot time and boot into safe mode with command prompt. Now type without quotes
"net user YourUserName YourNewPassword" Press enter.
Now close the cmd window and reboot.
You can now log in with the password you just created.

Was the machine working properly before this?

Can you enter BIOS setup?
