Need help to install windows 7.
Hi. A couple of weeks ago i decided to download backtrack 5. I booted it but wasn't quite satisfied. I went out and bought the windows 7 disc. The problem is that it won't boot. When i start the computer i never get the option to change OS (to press F2 or something). It doesn't matter if i have to delete the whole hard drive to get windows.

Do you have the CD/DVD optical drive set first in the boot order in the BIOS?

Once that's done and you boot from the Windows 7 DVD, a Press any key to boot from CD or DVD command should appear.

Here is a good pictorial guide for doing a clean install of Windows 7.

Yes, the problem is that i never get the option to press any key to boot. It starts right in the backtrack login.

Have you set the optical drive first in the boot order in the BIOS, then inserted the Windows 7 DVD in the optical drive, then restarted the computer?

The window of opportunity can be very small. Start tapping an arrow key as soon as you see or hear the optical drive being accessed.
