Computer Hangs at random times

Computer Hangs at random times
Ok for the last few days my computer has started to hang at random times. It could be 1 min or 15 min after start up and does not look to be linked to any 1 program. when it happens the computer will slow down for a min then I just get the round circle icon and nothing works, I cant even do Ctr Alt Del.

I have done AVG scan and Superantispyware and all was fine apart from tracking cookies. I have also taken most unused programs out of MSCONFIG startup and still no luck.

I will try and run the SysInfo tool and Hijackthis on the computwer now and post the results (Im using a different computer to post this)

When it starts to slow Task manager, if i have it open in time, shows nothing strange cpu between 0% and 20%

Hi, using uTorrent will add to the chance of an infection.
Download MalwareBytes free version to your desktop.
MalwareBytes

Click on the Install icon - allow it to update during the install process.
Start Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
Click on Scanner > then quick scan > then Scan.
Any infections or problems will be highlighted in red.
After the scan is finished - Click - Show Results.
Check that all entries are selected.
Click - Remove Selected.
You may be prompted to restart to finish the removal process.
If Yes - restart your Pc.

Start Malwarebytes again.
Click on the Logs Tab.
Highlight the scan log entry.
Click - Open.
The scan log will appear in Notepad.
Copy and paste it in your next post.

Uninstall Hjt log v2.0.2 that you have installed and then download the latest version of Hjt log 2.04
Hijack this 2.04
Post a new Hjt log.

Check your event viewer. Look for any events with ATPI or something to do with the hard drives. I had random slow downs on me a while back, turned out to be a bad hard drive controller board
