this is a new guy here. From other blog I informed about TECH SUPPORT GUY.This site is damn good for us. thanx. Now plz help me . here is my PC config :

Motherboard: ASRock, Z68 Extreme7 Gen3
Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials, Updated and Enabled


when I tried to install win 7 its started very even. After its came to format or delete hard disk process my keyboard and mouse stuck .....I tried enough to get out of it but I couldn't. So I quit..now plz help me how can I solve this plz and can Install OS..


By the way I have tried win Xp (media centre ) too but the result was same......plz u ppl help me asap

Sounds like a hardware problem. Did the machine ever work right?

It sounds like bad hardware or it was not put together right. Is it something that was built by an individual?

sorry I can't get u proprerly....my machine is a clone..I made it individual hardware

What procedure are you using to install the OS, are you booting from the CD or DVD? Is your keyboard a wireless keyboard? If it is try a USB keyboard.

I used DVD to install os...I use USB keyboard and mouse ...

It does sound like a hardware problem. What type of hard drive do you have and how old is it?
Why do you want to reinstall Windows?
Did you boot the PC from your Windows DVD or launch the install from Windows?

thnx for ur reply.I was little bit tensed to hear that the problem would be hardware.But its ok now. My machine isn't old yet. I bought it within one year so its not hardware.At this moment in my country the hard drive is in high price bcoz of thai flood. So I borrowed it from one from my close one.Its Hitachi brand and its almost 3 years old but though its working well .

When I bought my pc from a company they also install seven @ the very first time till now but I like reinstall bcoz its became heavy. And I like to install win XP for gaming my old games ....I tried to install win 7 from DVD by booting...

Even new hardware can fail by the way. I've had stuff that was DOA right out of the box. I think I would want to test that 3 year old used hard drive. If you go to the hard drive manufacturers web site you should be able to find the utilities to do it. They are free. If the hard drive checks out OK then I would probably run memtest or something similar on the RAM. At the very least I would reseat all my RAM modules and any add-in cards like video. Double check your power and data cables too, to make sure they are correctly fastened at both ends.

Are you using the original cd for the windows or a copy?

Just to clarify because I'm confused?

How many hard drives are in it?
Did you buy this PC as new or used?
Have you tested the hard drive for errors?
Have you ever installed an operating system before?
Do you know how to access the motherboard BIOS menu and have you done so on this PC?

yeah my pc is a clone machine. When I bought it from shop (Company), who sale clone pc, they made this machine part by part as I said them. I bought everything except hard drive because of high price. One of the shop man had installed windows seven in my pc. All parts of this machine in new except hard drive.

I have only one hard drive...
I have not tested my hd before...can u plz suggest any software..give me a download link
yeah I know how to get in BIOS...when I faced this problem, I just make my bios system default..but nothing happened

Is your Windows DVD an official Microsoft DVD or a copy? Is it clean and scratch free?
