Solved: Toshiba Recovery
I'm trying to restore my computer to computer factory settings but I'm encountering problems.

I've made the 4 discs, but every time it tells me to insert the next disc (not even the number). I've inserted in all 4 of them and none of them seem to get the recovery to continue.

Is there a way to recover from the partition?

Start the computer while holding down the zero key on the number pad.

I did that, but I'm not sure what it's supposed to do. Here's what happened.

1. Toshiba Normal boot up
2. Black Background white loading bar, quite fast "Windows is loading files"
3. The Win 7 start up screen.
4. A choice between 64 and 32 then warning screen about losing data and then out of box configuration.

Is this supposed to happen or is holding zero supposed to immediately go to the recovery?

Now it's telling me to put in the "next disc". Is that Disc one, two three or the Windows Recovery Environment 64-bit

did you follow the instruction in the link - remove usb devices, and CD/DVDs in the machine
make sure its NOT booting off any DVD

Quote:
Press and hold down the 0 (zero) key on the keyboard while powering on the computer. Release it when the recovery warning screen appears

Nothing inside. Although there this time I help zero and it actually made a minor change. [EMS] Enabled thing came up, no other choices. It's still asking me for the discs.

if this is a Toshiba Laptop as soon as you turn the laptop on, with nothing in the optical drive, Press the F12 key, you should get to a boot menu, In the Boot Menu you should see HDD Recovery. Select this, and it should go through the factory restore to return the computer to the way it came out of the box. This will not work if you have deleted the Factory Restore Partition.

Boot menu, I see no HDD recovery. I see options to boot from.

I tried to put the Win Environment Disc in first, it did something different this time. An error popped saying

"Cannot read preinst6.swm" Something along these lines.

What is the "Win Environment Disc"?

What were the options on the boot screen?

The Win Environment Disc is the disc that I made it was the technically not part of the three discs. There was Disc1, two and three and then the Win Enviro.

1. CD/DVD
2. HDD/SDD
3.eSATA
4. FDD
5. LAN
6. USB

<Enter Setup>

Going by that list it appears the System Recovery Partition is no longer intact.

The Boot Menu on both of my Toshibas reads pretty much the way yours does, minus the eSata, but Add HDD Recovery after Enter Setup.

I should of mentioned this but my HardDrive has been replaced, but the warranty guys said that it was factory setting. Shouldn't it have the partition?

The Disc has preinst6.swm which cannot be read even on another computer. I can't copy it.
