Solved: Windows 7; how do I identify this font and download it, urgently?
Another problem with Windows 7. I wish I had stuck with Vista!

Every time I have to use it, it seems it is designed as one-size-fits-all only for brainwashed morons with no creative mind. So sophisticated functions and data are removed with every new OS. Why?

This time it is FONTS.

I have a discerning mind when adding data to my images for publication and broadcast. Windows Vista (my OS in London 65 miles away) offers so many varied fonts and I found one only 2 days ago which was perfect for photo labels, .....i.e. appropriate to my subject. I edited 7 images for a gallery using this font, in bold and italic.

Now I need it again, urgently, for the last image for broadcast on Monday 17 September, before I return to London ....and Vista.

But I cannot remember the font name. I cannot locate it anywhere on Windows 7! If it is there, it is made impossible to identify! This is soul-destroying!

I have attached it on a JPG for you to look at.

Can anyone please tell me what is the name of the font and from where (and how) I can download it by tomorrow?

Thanks in advance because it is vital to complete what I am doing.

Maybe you can try uploading your picture to Deviant Art, or some other artists gathering, and see if people there can recognize the font. This is a technical forum, and its not likely that our visitors will have your information.

It is Pristina, and WhatFontIs confirmed. I went2 fonts010, downloaded ita nd met my deadline.

Awesomissimo!

But why, oh why, does Microsoft continually insist in fixing something that ain't broke ....and accordingly break it? LOL!

Just to give credit where credit is due, fonts are part of the program that you are using, not Windows. So this time it's not Windows fault.
Stick with 7 it is much, much better than Vista which is no longer supported by Microsoft.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Vista if you have a decent machine, and there is some level of support through 2017 for Vista.

For some things I prefer Vista, and others I like 7, and yet others Ubuntu, Fedora etc.

I never had a problem with Vista that was Vista's fault, and 99% of those who hate Vista are in the same boat. Vista is probably going to be remembered as the worst OS from MS ever by many people. That more because it didn't get the chance to have vendors catch up to it before it was replaced. Vista was much better when it was released than XP was for its first year.

And Windows 7 is Vista with some tweaks and a new GUI, so at worst it can't be "Much better" when they are the same kernel (6.0 / 6.1)

I liked Vista and never had any problem with it. After SP1 everybody should have quit complaining. With that said 7 has been sweet.
