Unhappy Solved: Updating bios help
I'm not sure if this is a good idea because on Acer's website it says:

"Updating an incorrect BIOS may cause harm to your system. We recomend that you only do this after being instructed by one of our Customer Care representatives. By using these updates you agree to accept the possibility of product failure."

but I am told that I should update to prevent lag in games (have good enough specs to run games but lag anyway) so I'm not sure how to update bios at all the only thing i have managed to do so far is download a DOS flash and a Windows flash for the 1.20 update. I'm not even sure which one to use or what program to use to run them so can someone please help me? I've heard i'm supposed to use a program called "winphlash" for an acer computer but the ones that I have looked at are only for these Operating systems : 2K/XP/2003

Please help!

Specs:
Intel Core i7 2ghz (turbo boost up to 2.9ghz)
Graphics card Nvidia GeForce GT 540M (1760MB)
8GB RAM
750 GB harddrive
Motherboard is Acer v1.05
Operating system: windows 7 home premium service pack 1 - 64bit

If the instructions for updating your model PC on Acer's web site are confusing or incomplete contact Acer for clarification.

They had no instructions at all that i could find. The update came with a readme that says this:
[SOP]
1. DOS flash: Please execute "BIOS.BAT" batch file to update bios under pure Dos mode.
2. Windows flash: Please click "P5WE0120" to update bios.
but they have not said what programs to use i just read i am supposed to use this winphlash that doesn't even support by my operating system and have no instructions (that I can find) on their website
