Red face Solved: Visual Basic - "Object Library Not Registered"
Visual Basic - "Object Library Not Registered"

I get this error when trying to use any Access 2003 Wizard to create (for example) a database.

It is then followed by "Error in loading DLL"

See screenshots.

However, I can create letters / envelopes et al with Word Wizards.

ALTHOUGH - lol - when running

"c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office11\Excel.exe" /regserver

I get "One of your object libraries (stdole32.tlb) is missing or damaged. Please run setup to install it" - it doers run setup but does not fix the error.

When I RUN

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\stdole32.tlb

I get The Module "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\stdole32.tlb" was loaded but the entry-point DllregisterServer was not found"

I have completely uninstalled then reinstalled Office 2003 Professional.

I use Windows 7 RC x64 Ultimate. All errors on Screenshots attached.

Any help gratefully received

Thanks OBP

I have noticed recently that I am not getting replies to my Posts for over week.

I did wonder if this is sometimes because I reply to my own intitial Thread to add further details and therefore am NOT treated as an Unanswered Thread??

A recent example is as below

http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vi...d-control.html

Thanks again.

In absence of better advice, used Windows 7 DVD to upgrade i.e. repair Windows Installation - all working now
