Solved: Word Pad
I had several documents that I made with Word Pad using Vista and I lost them when I upgraded to Windows 7.

Is it possible that I can retreive them from the old files??? If it is possible, where would I find them.

Thanks

Hopefully you have learned now to ALWAYS back up data when doing anything serious with your hard drive, and you should also back up periodically "just in case."

Use your computer as little as possible until you have exhausted all recovery options, because writing to the disk may overwrite those files IF this hasn't happened already.

You can try PhotoRec (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec), a free program for recovering accidentally deleted or formatted-over files.
