Q launch desktop icon replacement?
Dear All hi!
In Windows Vista it was possible to click on an icon on the quick launch toolbar, all open programs minimized and the desktop appeared.
Is it possible to have this in Windows 7 Ultimate (6.1.7600)?
I saw somewhere (can't remember where it was) that somebody suggested the making of a file "Show Desktop.scf" with the following text in it:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

which should be dragged and dropped on the quick launch toolbar. This drag&drop cannot work on the task toolbar of W7.
Any better ideas to achieve this very handy function?
Thanks.
D.

They moved show desktop all the way to the right end of the taskbar, its not labeled, it is a button next to the time in the system tray.

Mumbodog thanks!!! You're great!!! That far out I would never have guessed! And it does not show so much as to wonder what that thing does anyway. They could have given it a more conspicuous colour.
Thanks again. Much obliged.

You can also make a Quick Launch Toolbar on the task bar if you so desire and have it appear at either end of the task bar.Just a thought.
