Unhappy Boot Probelm
Ok a while back my install of windows vista mucked up and refused to boot, so instead of installing an other operating system onto that hdd or formatting it I installed windows 7 on my other hdd and all was fine. Untill i formatted the hdd with windows vista on it, now my system goes from the dell loading screen to nothing. my tv is hd so it doesnt support the bios as it is too low a resoloution. i'm guessing all i have to do is select my windows 7 hdd as the primary boot device but i need a vga monitor to do that, although it could be something else entirley. Anyone got any other ideas.

I'm getting a vga monitor from a friend tomorrow hopefully i can fix it then but any help before then that might fix it would be very much appreciated.

You may be right, but if both drives were connected when you installed Windows 7 I'm guessing that you wiped out the boot manager when you formatted the boot drive.

See if you can repair the boot manager with your Windows 7 DVD. Else I'm pretty confident (even though I haven't used it yet) that EasyBCD will do it. I think you want to do this with the other drive disconnected to make sure that the new boot information goes with the Windows 7 partition.
