Many questions about 64-bit Win7-Pro on new laptop
I am going to get delivery of my new Dell Studio 15 with 64-Bit Win7 pro tomorrow. I am using XP-Home currently and have not used Vista.
My questions are :
1) Will I be able to make a image of Win7 partition (C: drive) using DriveImageXML on UBCD4Win? I would like to do this before I install anything. And take another image after all required software are installed.
2) How do I backup Win7 activation files?
3) Since I am supposed to receive a Microsoft OEM DVD with the laptop, can I make a copy of this, like an ISO image? Will I be able to burn this image later to a DVD in case my original disk gets damaged?
4) I am going to use the laptop all by myself only. Should I make a separate user account with reduced privileges for everyday use. I have not done this for my old laptop with XP and have never had a problem, but just wanted to know what others feel on this.
5) Is there any way to install the 32-bit version from the DVD I will be getting, since I have read that 32 bot software may actually run bit slower on 64 bit OS and I do not see any requirement of 64-bit software in my work.
