So windows 7 is on it right now?

Do you know what format your drive means, if you format the drive, then W7 wont boot.

Do you want to just remove the hidden partition?

Use disk management in Windows 7, see if the partition shows up in there, if it does you can delete that partition, then format the unallocated space that os created after deletion.

There will be issues with deleting Vista partition, most likely it is the active partition, and deleting it and its BCD store will most likey cause W7 not to boot.

see this

There is no way to do that without a cd or dvd drive. They aren't expensive to replace you know. Actually if you have a floppy drive you could use a Win 98 bootdisk and delete the non dos partition but be careful as the letters may show differently and you could wind up deleting the Win 7 partition.

I would use EasyBCD to get rid of the VIsta boot entry if needed first, then I would either pull the drive and hook it to another system and "massage" it or you didn't say if a USB DVD drive works or not. Wouldn't have to pull the drive if it did.

If you just want to use that partition for storage, you don't need to format it. Just delete the files.
Delete everything but the Boot folder, and C:\bootmgr.
There may also be a C:\hiberfil.sys and C:\pagefile.sys, you can't delete these. There may be other files in the root of the C: drive, but they usually aren't needed, though best to just leave them if unsure. You may see autoexec.bat, config.sys, bootsect.bak for instance, just leave those.

Make sure you didn't install any programs onto the C: drive from within Win 7, or deleting the C:\Program Files folder will delete them as well, requiring you to re-install them.

I dont have a cd dvd drive in this tablet pc ... floppy drives ???? in laptops ??? i never saw one in any laptop....if u could tell me

HOW CAN I BOOT THE XP from MY internal harddrive itself

Booting from a flash drive or external HDD seems to be a very complicated method i tried the gparted and the others things mentioned in there

My lAptop says it can boot from USB FD,USB HD, PCI LAN ,Hitachi HDD(internal) 2 more ....

so i think loading vista boot pro and deleting the boot entry of vista ..and then booting XP from HDD and going till the formating page then just shutting down the laptop would help me out i suppose that thing would do ...OR NOT

I NEED SOME HELP WITH THIS PEOPLE.... I HAVENT TOUCHED MY NEW TABLET PC SINCE 2 days and i feel sick when i see no space in ther ... if u ll google down several people are having the same problem to get rid of VIsta ....

or WOULD THIS HELP AS WELL USING A USB CD DRIVE TO BOOT XP ( i have kept this method as the last option) the usb DVD writer is costly and i just cant go on buying it what if it would nt work as well ..

NOW I JUST NEED TO KNW ... HOW CN I BOOT XP FROM MY HARD DRIVE INTERNAL and format the C drive

i get a bad feeling this aint possible either

Fair nooks----

i like the vista boot pro as well ... i have tried that earlier ... i just want ONE WAY TO THAT can clean my C up and em happy with windows 7 in D .... but that should boot as well

You will probably have to take ownership of the system folders (Windows, Program Files, ProgramData, etc) on the C: drive before you can delete them.
