Windows 7 Screen Resolution Problem
Since installing Windows 7 I have had no problems with anything except this one small thing,
When I open/run most programs they all open correctly and fit to the screen properly.

But A couple of certain games and applications that I use regularly open with such a small screen that they are almost un-usable, The main problem seems to be with the width of the display, I have tried changing the main resolution of the screen but this doesn't remedy the problem, With most applications and games I can change the resolution from within them but this is not ideal as it stretches the image and the screens just dont look right and I also don't have any option to do this at all in one certain game that I use regularly when I am on my other computer which uses Windows Vista and this problem doesnt happen at all so I am guessing that this must be a Win 7 problem.

I am not sure but I think I may need to actually install a proper monitor driver to cure this problem as upon checking in both windows 7 and windows Vista both computers are using a generic video driver.

I have currently got a 22 inch Advent P 22 WH monitor on both computers and even when I had Vista running on this computer I was not experiencing this problem at all.

I have tried searching for a specific driver for this monitor but cannot seem to find one anywhere as of yet, If this is likely to be the problem I would appreciate it if someone could help me in finding a driver for my monitor.

If it is something else then I wait with baited breath as I have been wracking my brains for some time now trying to solve this seemingly trivial problem and have also tried searching this and many other forums for a similar problem but I haven't had any luck just yet.

I hope someone can help me clear up this problem.

My machine details are as follows.

HP a6455
3GB Ram
650 GB HDD
GeForce 8400 256 Mb Graphics Card
And as mentioned above the monitor is an Advent P 22 WH 22 inch LCD

Thanks
