0x0000000d error (printer sharing) between XP 32-bit and Windows 7 32-bit
Hey all,

I've recently installed Windows 7 (32 bit) and I tried sharing my printer (which is connected to my Windows XP 32 bit PC).

Previously, I successfully did printer sharing on my Vista (32 bit) system before it got upgraded to Windows 7. However, when attempting to share the printer, I get the 0x0000000d error.

My printer
Canon IP4680 Pixma

What steps I did
On XP computer
- Right clicked on printer, clicked on "share" and gave it a name
- "Additional drivers" section has Windows XP checked. I dont see a row for Vista or Win 7

On Win 7 computer
- Clicked on "add printer"
- Saw and found my shared printer on my XP computer
- Double clicked to add printer
- Passed the "finding drivers" stage
- Reached the "finalizing installation" stage
- After about 10 seconds, the error message pops up

I have already reinstalled my Win 7 driver and updated my XP driver to the latest version (v2.20) [which can be found at http://support-sg.canon-asia.com/con...00138101.html].

I also tried the solution at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/947236 but to no avail.

Could anyone help me please?

Thank you very much!

Kaer
